Hello, once again, and welcome to my own personal blog for Phil Anderson, and, Phil Anderson Enterprises. For those of you new to visiting here, this site is for updating what’s going on in my world. I thank you for taking the time to find out more about me and my endeavors. To the right of this page you will notice a simple blog roll of businesses and sites that are near and dear to my heart. Some are still in the process of getting started (ok, those would be mine) and others are more put together. I won a contest recently for my wine site, General Wine Thoughts, so you might want to check that one out! I’ve also started a fan page on Facebook called All Kinds of Music to go with my Drinking Wine page. Click these hyperlinks if you like All Kinds Of Music or if you like Drinking Wine!

I’ve just spent time in Wenatchee, East Wenatchee (Washington) and Missoula (Montana), spreading fresh and healthy air to those folks living there (well, those who bought the system, anyway!). During those trips I was able to visit some wineries and start some new relationships. About a week ago I poured at the White Out Table (those wines that pair well with seafood) at Taste Washington! Spokane and you can see a short video about that event if you click here. I show up in the upper left hand corner at about the 2:08 mark and at the end. I’m the bald dude!

My daughter, Tabitha, will be graduating from High School on Wednesday and I am so proud of her. Also, there are three other cousins that are graduating from West Seattle High School this year. At one point there were over TEN cousins all at the same high school! All my aunts and uncles, parents, and grandparents went to, and graduated from, West Seattle High School.

Speaking of my grandparents, their house has sold and will be closing in a couple of weeks which will also close the final chapter on their life in that house. I’ll go through it one more time, think back on the great memories, maybe have a glass of wine, take a few more pictures and then say, “goodbye”, for the last time.

<sigh>

Also, I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to my cousin, Alexander, who is serving in Iraq, as well as Shelley’s son, Tyler, who is now at Marine Officers Training in West Virginia. While I’m at it, thank you to all of the brave soldiers in our military protecting our freedoms. The Fourth of July is just around the corner and I don’t often say thank you to those serving our country.

Lastly, and back to the wine, I DID win a seat on the WBC or Bust trip from Seattle to Walla Walla, for the Wine Bloggers Conference, and it leaves in about ten days! The itinerary is packed and I will be documenting all of it at General Wine Thoughts.

Again, thank you for reading this and I hope you visit again soon.

Until then, Ciao for now!

Here we are in April…well, almost May, and life continues to move at a breakneck pace. I have found myself on the road for a lot of the time now as I continue to help people live cleaner, healthier lives using the indoor air quality system I represent.

My oldest daughter, Lindsay, is doing very well in school in California and has landed a job at The Lazy Dog Cafe in Irvine which she is enjoying quite a bit. We get into deep conversations regarding customer service that I absolutely love. They’re not actually debates but conversations. It’s very gratifying being able to have adult conversations with somebody you’ve helped bring up and live successfully in this world.

My youngest daughter has had some obstacles that she is doing her best to overcome. I am very proud that she hasn’t given up, that she continues to fight to move forward. What I am most proud of is that she is such a good person, that she is respectful toward people that she encounters in life. We all have good in us but, so often, we seem to be measured and judged by the things that don’t go as planned.

I have had the good fortune to be able to visit quite a few wineries lately and am writing about those at General Wine Thoughts. I am in the process of putting together a team of experts in the wine industry that will help me in my pursuit of teaching people about wine from square one. Remember, with just a little bit of knowledge wine becomes much less overwhelming. I have started a fan page on Facebook so if you are a fan of wine and want to prove that to the world, become a fan of wine on Facebook by clicking here! I’ve also entered a contest through WINE CHATRr (it’s called WBC or Bust) to win a trip from Seattle to Walla Walla for the Wine Bloggers Conference in June. We’ll be stopping at many wineries on the way. It will be VERY fun!

I also continue to offer advice to anybody in the customer service industry. If you are interested in those articles please click here and you will be directed to my Mastering Customer Service blog.

Tonight, with my family, I will be toasting both my Grandma and Grandpa Fulcher, to honor them, in the home they owned for over 55 years. Then we will put the house on the market. It’s been bittersweet working on their house, repairing those things that they had let go over the years. I took apart a work bench that my Grandpa had made about 5o years ago, so that the basement would look like it had more room. That was sad. As I look at all of the things that have been neglected it just reminds me how important it is to keep your home up. I remember the work parties we used to have at their house when I was young. People pitching in to help. I don’t think that happens much anymore.

Well, that is it for the time being. I will chime in again soon. I thank you for taking the time in your busy day to read a little bit about my life.

Ciao for now…

Phil

This won’t be the most fun post to write but it’s important for me because of a situation my friend Curt Knox is in. If you’re reading this you will think that name sounds familiar but only when you know his daughter is Amanda Knox will you know why. She was found guilty of murdering her roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia, Italy, this past December in a farce of a trial.

I met Curt in the summer of 1979 while playing football at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington. He was a VERY fast reciever and I was a VERY average (at best) quarterback. We have kept in touch over the years laughing about the “three and up” route that would score every time. After college he became my accountant for my first company, White Glove Cleaning Services, and we’ve stayed in contact ever since.

Curt was one of three friends that visited our house recently for dinner and then we met them up in Sandpoint, Idaho, for some REALLY good pizza a couple nights later. They were having their annual ”guys ski weekend” for the first time in many years (obviously Amanda’s situation kept the ski weekend from happening in recent years). His spirits are always high, which amazes me. It’s apparent he is able to emotionally divorce himself from the hell he is going through with his oldest daughter. I don’t know how but he does it.

I admire the way Curt and Edda Mellas, his ex-wife and Amanda’s Mom, have handled this situation. They have not given up on getting her back home in a timely manner. Curt has dedicated his life to getting Amanda back on American soil as fast as possible.

The support for the Knox family has been wonderful. Curt’s Vashon High School class of 1979 classmates have raised funds to help with the cost of going through something like this. Now Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump and United States Senator, Maria Cantwell have gotten involved, as well, in various ways to help the cause. Curt and Edda (as well as their other daughter) will be on the Oprah Winfrey show on Tuesday, February 23 (tomorrow) to discuss this situation. Donald Trump suggests, in no uncertain terms, we all boycott Italian products and Italy in every way. Senator Cantwell has approached Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for help and support on a national level. (Click on the highlighted text in this paragraph to read more.)

In a time where Tiger Woods garnered more media attention Friday for a prepared statement of how he’s wronged his wife, family and the world (because of choices he’s made) than even the President did in a State of the Union address, it’s worth taking note that there are people who are truly experiencing injustices in the world. There are people that are going through their own hell and it’s out of their control. Tiger could control what happened and the only reason we know he cheated on his wife is because he GOT CAUGHT! Now we’re supposed to feel sorry for him? Amanda has been wrongly accused and convicted in Italy. What this has done for the Knox family is both horrific and faith sapping. I wouldn’t wish this on my worse enemy!

I know that there are many people who are going through difficult situations with the economy, and so forth. At church yesterday our Pastor talked about living “beyond ourselves”. If you take a step back and look objectively, it is certainaly true that most of us do not have as bad of problems as we might like to think. If we step out and help those that really ARE struggling with major problems it will likely help us with our own issues as well as give us the satisfaction of having helped out others. Living beyond ourselves.

If you would like to help, visit The Amanda Knox Defense Fund website and it will direct you how. If you can’t help out this way, you can help by just talking about this to everybody, ANYbody. The more the word gets out the better. If we all just help out a little bit it can add up to a whole lot of help.

Thank you for reading and remember to watch Oprah tomorrow.

So much has happened since I last wrote. Shelley’s father passed away the actual day of the last post, so that has presented us with many changes. The holiday’s have come and gone. It’s been very unusual not to see virtualy any of my family during the holidays as I have been in North Idaho since July of 2008. I’m finding it very difficult to get back to Seattle. One of my goals this year is to make a better attempt in visiting Seattle to see my family and friends more often.

I spent my birthday, November 5th, in Rapid City, South Dakota as I was there helping people to live healthier lives by breathing fresh air. I regret to say I was only 12 miles from Mount Rushmore but never made it there to experience it. I was blessed by SO MANY well wishes from people. I had many Facebook Happy Birthday’s and over a handful of Happy Birthday songs and messages on my phones voicemail. My daughter Lindsay sent me a care package with a DELICIOUS (albeit very sweet) marshmellow dessert she made and a picture of her and my other daughter Tabitha all in a hand made ”Keepsake Box” which I am now using as my Dream Makers box.

My computer broke while I was there so I didn’t even get to SEE the Facebook birthday wishes until I got home! I loved them all the same. I didn’t necessarily like being away from home on my birthday BUT I knew Shelley had planned something quite fun for when I got back so that kept me going.

When I got back we went to Walla Walla, Washington (no need to repeat Washington, just the Walla) for a wine tasting weekend. We stayed at the Hampton Inn and visited over ten wineries. Washington is making some absolutely fabulous wines and we tasted some good ones. Woodward Canyon, Basel Cellars, Gifford Hirlinger and Waterbrook Winery were just some of the wineries we visited and impressed us most. We tasted nearly 50 wines! Yum!

I am in the process of putting together a telesummit for people wanting to learn more about wine from square one so they aren’t so intimidated and that will be released by the end of October so they can put the information into practice during the holidays. If you have any suggestions please e-mail me at aphilip369@aol.com with the subject line General Wine Thoughts Telesummit.

The holidays were a blur for me. They came and went so swiftly. I spent Thanksgiving without my daughters for the first time in many, many years (maybe ever?) but Shelley’s children came up from California with their significant others. We actually spent it on Friday because of travel challenges on their part. We took them up to Schweitzer Ski Resort which was the only place we could find snow for them

I was in Libby, Montana three seperate times in December. Because of all the asbestos there are many people experiencing horrible breathing issues in Libby and I helped them clean up their homes with the Indoor Air Quality System I am selling and that made me feel very good. Because I was in Libby so often I didn’t get a chance to really enjoy the Christmas Holidays or the decorations around the house. I’m of the belief it’s all for a reason and I’m ok with that, just not again!

We rang in the new year at some friends of ours that own Log Spirit Bed and Breakfast. We had dinner and played games. Very mellow. Not like the Sahalie Ski Club days, for sure! I will admit I sorely miss bringing in the new year with my friends at Sahalie.

Here is our front yard which is usually just grass. Now it's a lake!

Unlike the past two years here, the snow has been difficult to find. The cold, however, isn’t. It has been as low as ten below zero at times. We’ve had lakes around our house, there has been so much water, and when it got THAT cold we had ice rinks. I actually take the dogs out ice skating from time to time. Honestly, it’s more for my own entertainment than it is for theirs! Two years ago the last day there was snow on the ground was May 7th and last year it was April 7th. There’s very little snow on the ground right now so maybe this year will be March 7th!

With the new year brings a new decade and a new start. I have some aggressive goals I have made for myself. Some are financial and others are just to spend more time with the people that mean so much to me, namely my daughters. I am still very happy to help people live healthier in their homes, the only environment we can control. If you are at all interested in more information about the indoor air quality system I am representing please e-mail me at aphilip369@aol.com with the subject line Indoor Air Quality System and we can set up a time for me to come by and show you this remarkable system. Shelley is so impressed at how much cleaner it is around here she is actually telling people about it too! Now THAT’S an endorsement!

Until next time, thank you for visiting Phil Anderson Enterprises, the home of all things Phil!

Ciao for now,

Hello, once again. Summer has officially ended and we find ourselves losing daylight at about a two minute a day clip. It’s been a summer of non stop action. I’ve helped many families breath cleaner air including my sister and her husband, who has very bad allergies. This might be the best product I’ve ever endorsed.

Shelley’s father has taken a sharp turn for the worse with his health. Because of that we have had streams of company visiting. On the one hand that is very fun to entertain guests while on the other, it’s sad because of the reason they are visiting. He just had his 88th birthday two days ago. After pondering what would be the best gift I could give him I landed on the one thing I knew he would enjoy and that is a beer from Canada. I’m sure he won’t be able to have it, however, which is very sad.

Speaking of Shelley, she is doing great things in the online world. Her gift basket company, Lambs and Ivy Gift Baskets, has seen a surge in sales and her online support group, The Elder Care Support Group, along with it’s supporting blog, takingcareofthefolks.com, is experiencing huge growth. In August she ran a large telesummit with eight experts in the field of elder care. It was quite an undertaking but it was a big success. If you’re interested in any of the interviews just visit takingcareofthefolks.com.

In July Shelley and I spent a week in California volunteering at Camp ReCreation, a camp for adults with disabilities. Shelley was one of the camp nurses and I helped serve over 4,500 meals for the week. In my spare time I took over 1,200 pictures of the over 90 campers as they enjoyed projects, skits and field trips. What a great, fulfilling week.

I’ve been playing piano in our the church band at Lake City Community Church a lot during the summer. It is very fun. In fact, tonight, I will be playing as well as taking pictures of a baptism. Should be very fun, albeit, interesting.

My daughter just recently started her second year of college at Chapman University in Orange. My other daughter is a senior at West Seattle High School. Speaking of WSHS, I just attended my 30 year high school reunion there this past Saturday. It was held at the Vashon Theatre on Vashon Island (go figure). As I remarked in my post on March 13th (which is my Dads birthday) there would probably be more people than when I organized one 5 years ago and I was right. Almost double the people showed up. Visit my Facebook page to see some of the pictures.

Well, that’s it for now. Should you be interested in finding out how you TOO can breath cleaner air that will give you better health and energy as well as more time (believe it or not), drop me a note at aphilip369@aol.com.

I am writing to you today to let you know a little bit about what I’ve been up to. The Science of Getting Rich One Day Workshop has come and gone. There are plenty of things I learned that I will parlay into the next workshop to make it even better.

I have recently been involved in helping people to breath better, fresher and cleaner air by putting a complete cleaning system in their home. I know here at home it has helped people with allergies really see a difference. It makes me feel good to help people live happier and healthier lives.

Also, I will be adding a brand new site to my growing list of sites as early as next week. Keep in touch for that news as I’m pretty excited about it. I finished the audio book for Jay Peroni called, “The Faith Based Millionaire” about a month ago and it’s available here.

So, until next time, enjoy the summer fun. I know I will!

The Science of Getting Rich One Day Workshop will be held on April 21, 2009 at the Coeur d’Alene Shilo Inn Suites where they boast “Affordable Excellence” every single day. The address is 702 W. Appleway Ave and you can reach them at 208 292 2983 if you need directions or rooms but it is very easy to find as it’s just West of Highway 95 near I-90 on Appleway. The event will take place from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. but I suggest you arrive early. We would like to get started promptly.

The Science of Getting Rich, by Wallace Wattles, inspired Rhonda Byrne to produce the hit movie and best seller, The Secret, and it explains in scientific detail about the Law of Attraction. Esai Cervantez and myself, Phil Anderson, will be leading this one day workshop. Besides the manual of the book, with margins for notes (thanks to the folks at http://www.scienceofgettingrich.net/) you will also take home a complete list of resources that will help you on your journey to a better life. We define a better life as, not only having an abundance of money, but an abundance of wealth which includes a harmonious balance of money, health and realationships.

Your resource list will include works from Bob Doyle, Joe Vitale, Bob Proctor, Jerry and Ester Hicks, T. Harv Ecker, thescienceofgettingrich.net and more.

To sign up using PayPal click below and I look forward to seeing you at 8 AM sharp at the Coeur d’Alene Shilo Inn Suites.

I have been a busy boy, as of late. Currently I am smack dab in the middle of recording an audio book for Jay Peroni, a renowned and Certified Financial Planner, and author of, “The Faith Based Millionaire” and “The Faith Based Investor”. It is a 242 page book that will be turned into an 8-hour audio book. I will give you the address of where you can find the book upon it’s completion.

I have made multiple posts on my General Wine Thoughts blog that have included varietals such as Sancerre, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Grigio, Madeleine Angevine, Malbec and Merlot. There is also a post about Open That Bottle Night. You should check it out!

I’ve also added a post or two at my Mastering Customer Service blog, one good and one not so good. Over the course of time you will be able to track all the trends and what to expect in the customer service industry. Share your stories, good or bad, on the sites comment area.

A business partner of mine, Esai Cervantez, and I are working on putting together a one day workshop at the Coeur d’Alene Shilo Inn Suites teaching the Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles. Should you want to attend drop me a line at phil.andersonenterprises@usa.com and put “One Day Workshop” in the subject line. I’m really excited about this. We are going to go through the entire book, page by page, explaining about the Law of Attraction that Wattles writes about. Attendees will take home a manual of the book full of the notes they took during the workshop.

I also just found out that my West Seattle High School 30 year class reunion will be on September 19th at the Vashon Island Theatre, where one of my friends, and classmates, Eileen Wolcott (Faulk) owns and operates. I helped put together the 25th reunion but only 45 people showed up. We had fun, however, and should have fun this time too. I imagine the turn out will be much larger.

Lastly, while driving back from California, where we picked up Shelley’s father to bring him home, I thought of a great project that will involve photographing something in every state of our nation in a period of five days. The project is called, “Around The Nation In Five Days” and I’m in the process of working with, Bill Ayer, the CEO of Alaska Airlines, and other airlines to make this materialize. We live in such a beautiful country and driving 2,800 miles round trip from North Idaho to Southern California and back I realized how cool it would be to have a book of great pictures from EVERY state in our nation taken within a five day period from one photographer. I don’t think you could do it in any less time.

Well, that’s it for now. Thank you for reading and I look forward to doing the next post!
